      Is the Constellation Energy /Exelon Corporation merger final?

The merger of Exelon Corporation and Constellation Energy  was completed on March 12, 2012.  The parent organization of the combined company will retain the Exelon name.

Who is Constellation?

Headquartered in Baltimore, Constellation is a leading competitive energy supplier that provides energy products and services to retail and wholesale customers in 45 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. Constellation’s retail and wholesale customers enjoy a wide range of innovative and integrated solutions, such as electricity and natural gas procurement, renewable energy supply and demand-side management solutions including load response, real-time enterprise energy management platforms and conservation projects. Constellation is a leading wholesale energy supplier to utilities and municipal co-ops nationwide.

Is Exelon Energy now part of Constellation?

Though we are continuing to do business as Exelon Energy, we will integrate the two businesses over the course of this year.  Exelon Energy will continue to serve our customers and to sell under the Exelon Energy brand until the two organizations are fully integrated.  Both Exelon Energy and Constellation will work hard to make sure our customers continue to receive valuable and seamless service and a great customer experience during this transition.  And we promise to keep our customers and business partners informed as we move forward.

       What is the relationship between Exelon’s retail businesses, including Constellation and Exelon Energy, and Exelon’s BGE, ComEd and PECO utilities?

Exelon’s utility subsidiaries are not a part of Constellation.  The utilities BGE, ComEd and PECO are independent from Exelon Energy and will remain independent from Constellation.

Where will Constellation be headquartered?

Constellation’s headquarters will remain in Baltimore.

What is the timeline for integrating the two companies?

Over the next year, we will integrate Exelon Energy and Constellation. During the transition, you will see both brands in the marketplace.  We will keep our customers and our business partners informed throughout this process.

I am a customer of Exelon Energy.  Will my contract change?  Who will be billing my account(s)?

There will be no changes to your existing contract and its terms and conditions will remain in effect. You will continue to receive your invoice from Exelon Energy until the companies are integrated.  We will keep you informed on any changes to the appearance of your bill.

Do I continue to remit my payments to the same company and address?

Yes, please continue to submit your payments to the address indicated on your bill or online at the Exelon Energy e-Billing Center.

As an Exelon Energy customer, how can I benefit from the merger of Exelon Corporation and Constellation Energy?

In addition to continuing to receive the same high level of customer service from Exelon Energy, you now will have access to additional products and services, such as load response, energy efficiency, solar, renewable energy and building services, which will be available in many more locations throughout the United States.  Please contact your Exelon Energy Sales Representative for further details.

Who do I contact if I have a question or to renew my contract? 

Please continue to contact your Exelon Energy Sales Representative or Customer Care. Our phone numbers and email addresses will not change. 

Do I still use the ExelonEnergy.com website?

Yes, Exelon Energy customers can continue to use ExelonEnergy.com to access their account information, find contact information and learn about and request quotes for products and services. The online “eBilling Center” and “Request a Quote” services will be available to customers until Exelon Energy and Constellation have completed the transition into one company.  After that point, you will go to Constellation.com to access and pay your bills, find product information, and access a wealth of information designed to help you meet your energy needs.  We are excited to be expanding our online services with this transition and are committed to keeping you informed throughout this process.

Does my sales representative change?

Your sales representative has not changed at this time. Continue to contact your current Exelon Energy Sales Representative.
